UPTET SOCIAL STUDIES Online Exam Pattern

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) conducts the UPTET Social Studies Online Exam. The exam is conducted in two parts.

Part 1: This part consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the syllabus prescribed by the Board. The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The total number of questions is 150. The maximum marks for this part is 150.

Part 2: This part consists of descriptive questions based on the syllabus prescribed by the Board. The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The total number of questions is 8. The maximum marks for this part is 100.

The exam is conducted online and the students have to answer all the questions online. The students have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in order to qualify the exam.

UPTET SOCIAL STUDIES Selection Process

The selection process for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) Social Studies exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). Candidates must first fill out an online application form and submit it along with the required documents. After the submission of the application form, the UPBEB will shortlist the eligible candidates for the exam.

The shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for a written exam which will consist of multiple-choice questions. UPTET SOCIAL STUDIES Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing in the UP TET Social Studies exam are as follows:

1. The candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in either graduation or its equivalent degree from a recognized institute/university.

2. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute/university.

3. Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Eligibility Test (SET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) or any other equivalent test conducted by the government.

4. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in a recognized school.

5. The age limit of the candidate must be between 18 to 40 years.

6. The candidate must have a valid identity card issued by the State Government.
