UPTET PAPER 1 Selection Process
The selection process for the UPTET Paper 1 exam consists of two stages. In the first stage, candidates are required to appear for the written exam. The written exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. UPTET PAPER 1 Eligibility Criteria
The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) Paper 1 is held for the recruitment of Primary Teachers in Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility criteria to appear for UPTET Paper 1 are as follows:
Educational Qualification:
• The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (Class 12th) or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board.
• The candidate must have passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
• The candidate must have passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
• The candidate must have passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Age Limit:
• The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 35 years as on 01-07-2020. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
Note: Candidates who have already qualified UPTET-2018 or UPTET-2019 or UPTET-2020 examination will be considered as UPTET qualified.
