The UPSSSC JE Civil Engineering Online Exam is of 2 hours duration. It is divided into two sections:
Section 1: General Studies: This section will consist of 60 questions and will be of 60 marks. The topics covered in this section are General Awareness, General Science, General Mathematics and General Hindi.
Section 2: Technical Subjects: This section will consist of 90 questions and will be of 90 marks. The topics covered in this section are Building Materials, Estimation and Costing, Hydrology, Soil Mechanics, Irrigation Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Surveying, Structural Engineering, Highways Engineering and Railways Engineering. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
UPSSSC JE CE Selection Process
The selection process for the UPSSSC JE CE will involve the following steps:
1. Written Examination: The written examination will be conducted for a total of 200 marks. The paper will be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B.
Part A will consist of General Knowledge and General Hindi questions, while
Part B will consist of questions related to the engineering stream.

UPSSSC JE CE Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the post of Junior Engineer in the UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC), applicants must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
1. Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
2. Age Limit: The age of the applicant must be between 18 to 40 years as on 1st July 2020.
3. Educational Qualification: The applicant must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
