Part-II: Skill Test/Typing Test The Skill Test/Typing Test is conducted to assess the candidate’s proficiency in the relevant skills. The duration and other details of the Skill Test/Typing Test are as follows:

Data Entry Speed Test (DEST): 8 minutes (1000 Key Depressions)

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): 60 minutes (Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides)

Typing Test: 10 minutes (English)

Total Marks: 200 marks

Time Duration: 2 hours

SSC Selection Post Phase IX Selection Process

1. The selection process for SSC Selection Post Phase IX consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE) followed by Document Verification (DV) and Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (wherever applicable).

2. The Computer Based Examination will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the selection of suitable candidates for various posts.

3. The Computer Based Examination will consist of two papers. Paper-I will consist of objective type multiple choice questions on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English language and other relevant subjects. Paper-II will consist of objective type multiple choice questions on the relevant trade/subject.

4. Candidates who qualify in the Computer Based Examination will be called for Document Verification and Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (wherever applicable).

5. The final selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in the Computer Based Examination, Document Verification and Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (if applicable).

The eligibility criteria for SSC Selection Post Phase IX are as follows:
