SOF – NSO Class I – IV Online Test Series

How to Prepare SOF – NSO Class I – IV Mock Online Exam

1. Understand the exam pattern: In the SOF-NSO Class I – IV Mock Online Exam, there are two sections – Mental Ability and Scholastic Aptitude. Both sections include multiple-choice questions. Each section has separate time limit.

SOF – NSO Class I – IV Online Exam Pattern

The online examinations for classes from I to IV is conducted by the National School of Open Foundation (NSOF). The online examinations are conducted over two sessions and the pattern for the examinations is as follows:

• Session 1: This session consists of multiple-choice questions on the topics of English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Information & Technology and Science. The duration of this session is 90 minutes.

• Session 2: This session consists of questions from Reasoning, Computational Thinking, General Awareness and Information & Communication Technology. The duration of this session is 120 minutes. At the end of both sessions an overall score is calculated and its total marks are considered for evaluation. The marks scored in the internal assessments of the two sessions are also taken into account while calculating the final result.

SOF – NSO Class I – IV Selection Process

The selection process for National Service Scheme, Class I-IV Officers, consists of the following four stages:

1. Written Examination: This phase consists of objective and descriptive question papers. The written examination will test the candidate’s subject knowledge, aptitude, reasoning skills and writing ability.

2. Interview: The successful candidates of the written examination will be called for a personal interview conducted by the Selection Board. The interview will assess the candidate’s knowledge of the National Service Scheme, general awareness, communication skills and presentation skills.

3. Psychological Aptitude Test: This is a psychological profiling tool and the successful candidates of the interview are evaluated on their personality traits, decision-making ability, leadership skills, etc.

4. Medical Examination: The successful candidates of the psychological aptitude test will be called for a medical examination in an approved Government Medical Institution. This will ascertain the physical fitness of the candidate in order to ensure their ability to undertake the service requirements of the organization.

SOF – NSO Class I – IV Eligibility Criteria

Class I • Must meet the exam eligibility criteria for the Nationally recognized exam for which they are applying

• Must be a resident of India for more than 5 years before the examination

• Must have a passing percentage of 75% or above in Class X and Class XII

• Must be between 16 and 25 years old as of the day of the exam Class II

• Must meet the exam eligibility criteria for the Nationally recognized exam for which they are applying

• Must be a resident of India for more than 5 years before the examination

• Must have a passing percentage of 70% or above in Class X and Class XII

• Must be between 18 and 27 years old as of the day of the exam Class III

• Must meet the exam eligibility criteria for the Nationally recognized exam for which they are applying

• Must have served a minimum of 5 years in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force or Paramilitary forces

• Must have a passing percentage of 65% or above in Class X and Class XII

• Must be between 21 and 35 years old as of the day of the exam Class IV

• Must meet the exam eligibility criteria for the Nationally recognized exam for which they are applying

• Must have served a minimum of 5 years in the Indian Armed Forces

• Must have had an honorable discharge from the Indian Armed Forces

• Must be between 21 and 45 years old as of the day of the exam
