SBI PO Online Exam Pattern

The SBI PO online exam pattern consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Group Exercises & Interview.

Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary Examination consists of three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The total duration of the Preliminary Examination is 1 hour.

Main Examination: The Main Examination consists of four sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. The total duration of the Main Examination is 3 hours.

Group Exercises & Interview: The Group Exercises & Interview consists of two stages: Group Exercises and Interview. The Group Exercises will consist of a group of candidates discussing and solving a case study. The Interview is a one-on-one discussion between the candidate and the interviewer.

The total duration of the Group Exercises & Interview is 45 minutes.

SBI PO Selection Process

The selection process for SBI PO is divided into 3 stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

2. Main Examination

3. Group Exercises & Interview

1. Preliminary Examination: The preliminary examination consists of an objective type test of 100 marks with a duration of 1 hour. The sections include English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.

2. Main Examination: The main examination consists of an objective type test of 200 marks with a duration of 3 hours. The sections include Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language and Descriptive Test.

3. Group Exercises & Interview: Candidates who qualify the main examination will be called for the Group Exercises & Interview round. This round tests the candidate’s personality and communication skills. The final selection will be made on the basis of the performance in the main examination and the Group Exercises & Interview.

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Maximum Age: 30 years 2.

Educational Qualification

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

3. Nationality

• The candidate must be either

• a Citizen of India, or

• a subject of Nepal, or

• a subject of Bhutan, or

• a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 4. Number of attempts

• There is no restriction on the number of attempts for SBI PO examination.
