SBI Clerk Online Exam Pattern

The SBI Clerk Online Exam Pattern consists of three sections: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview.

Preliminary Exam: The Preliminary Exam consists of three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The exam duration is 1 hour and is conducted for a maximum of 100 marks.

Mains Exam: The Mains Exam consists of four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The exam duration is 2 hours and is conducted for a maximum of 200 marks.

Interview: The interview is conducted for a maximum of 25 marks. The candidates who have cleared the Mains Exam will be called for the interview.

Final Result: The marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview are added together to calculate the final result. The candidates who have scored the minimum qualifying marks are selected for the post of SBI Clerk.

SBI Clerk Selection Process

The selection process for SBI Clerk consists of three stages – Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Language Proficiency Test. 1.

Preliminary Exam: The Preliminary Exam is an objective test consisting of 100 questions of 100 marks. The test is conducted for 1 hour and the test consists of three sections – English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.

2. Main Exam: The Main Exam consists of two papers – Objective Test and Descriptive Test. The Objective Test consists of 200 questions of 200 marks and the duration of the test is 2 hours. The Descriptive Test consists of 50 questions of 50 marks and the duration of the test is 30 minutes.

3. Language Proficiency Test: The Language Proficiency Test is conducted to test the language proficiency of the candidates. Candidates need to appear for the test in the local language of the State from which they have applied. The test is conducted for 30 minutes and consists of 50 questions of 50 marks.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit – Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age.

Educational Qualifications – Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Nationality – Candidates should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January, 1962 or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Computer Knowledge – Candidates must have a basic knowledge of computer operations. Language Proficiency – Candidates must have knowledge of any of the local languages of the State or UT in which they are applying.
