RBI Assistant Online Exam Pattern

The RBI Assistant Online Exam Pattern consists of two stages: Preliminary and Main Examination.

• It will be conducted for a duration of 1 hour.

• The exam will be divided into 3 sections – English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical Ability.

• Each section will carry 30 marks and negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for incorrect answers.

Main Examination:

• The Main Examination is an online objective test consisting of 200 multiple choice questions.

• It will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours.

• The exam will be divided into 4 sections – Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

• Each section will carry 50 marks and negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for incorrect answers.

RBI Assistant Selection Process

The RBI Assistant selection process comprises of three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: This is the first stage of the selection process. The preliminary examination will consist of 100 objective type questions from the following sections:

(i) English Language

(ii) Numerical Ability

(iii) Reasoning Ability

The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes. Candidates need to score a minimum qualifying mark in each section to be eligible for the next stage of the selection process.

2. Main Examination: This is the second stage of the selection process. The main examination will consist of 200 objective type questions from the following sections:

(i) English Language

(ii) Numerical Ability

(iii) Reasoning Ability

(iv) General Awareness

(v) Computer Knowledge The total duration of the exam is 120 minutes.

Candidates need to score a minimum qualifying mark in each section to be eligible for the next stage of the selection process.

3. Interview: This is the final stage of the selection process. Candidates who are shortlisted in the main examination will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel of experts and will be based on the candidate’s overall performance in the preliminary and main examination. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: The minimum age of the applicant should be 20 years, while the maximum age should be 28 years.

Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian citizen to apply for the post.

Educational Qualification: The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University or Institute.

Language Proficiency: The applicant should possess a working knowledge of any of the official languages of the State.

Computer Proficiency: The applicant should have a working knowledge of computers.

Other Eligibility Criteria: The applicant should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of an Assistant.
