NVS TGT Selection Process

The selection process for the Non-Vocational Subject (NVS) Teachers recruitment exam is as follows:

1. Written Exam: The written exam will have 2 Papers – Paper I (for the post of TGTs) and Paper II (for the post of PGTs). The exam will be held for a duration of 3 hours. The exam will consist of multiple choice questions from General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Teaching Aptitude, Current Affairs, and Concerned Subject.

3. Document Verification: The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the written exam and personal interview. 4. Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the document verification process will have to undergo a medical examination. Candidates who are declared medically fit will be finally selected for the post of NVS TGTs.

NVS TGT Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Trained Graduate Teacher in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is given below:

1. Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Age Limit: The candidate must be between 18 to 40 years old.

3. Educational Qualification:

• For Science/Maths Stream: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Maths from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate and should have passed in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.

• For Social Studies/Social Science Stream: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies/Social Science from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate and should have passed in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.

4. Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience in a recognized school.

5. Language Proficiency: The candidate must be fluent in the language which he/she has to teach. 6. Computer Knowledge: The candidate must possess adequate knowledge of computers and internet.
