NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) Online Exam Pattern

NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) Selection Process

The National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) selection process consists of several stages.

Stage 1: School Level The first stage of the NCO is the school level. All students from Class 3 to Class 10 can appear for the NCO examination at their respective schools. The paper consists of 45 questions from topics including Logic & Reasoning, Cyber Security, Computers, Networks, Web Technology and Cyber Laws. Students have to solve the paper within a time limit of 75 minutes.

Stage 2: Regional Level At the regional level, the top-ranked students from the previous stage are invited to compete. The paper consists of 35 questions on the same topics as in the school level. The students are expected to complete the paper within a time limit of 60 minutes.

Stage 3: National Level The national level is the final stage of the NCO. Students selected from the regional level have to solve 35 questions in a time limit of 60 minutes. The questions will be from the same topics as the previous stages.

Stage 4: International Level The selected students then move on to compete in the international level. The questions will be based on the topics mentioned in the earlier stages. However, the difficulty level will be higher. The students are expected to complete the paper within a time limit of 75 minutes.

NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) Eligibility Criteria

NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) is a national-level online exam designed to encourage students from classes 1 to 12 to learn about the fundamentals of computer science and develop an interest in the subject. Eligibility Criteria:

1. Participants should be between classes 1 to 12.

2. The student should be studying in an Indian school, either government or private. An NRI or an international student studying in an Indian school is also eligible.

3. The student must be studying in the current academic year from the respective school only.

4. A student who has already taken admission in a college/university is not eligible.
