KARNATAKA STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (KSET) Online Exam Pattern
The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is an exam conducted by the University of Mysore to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in various universities and colleges in Karnataka. KSET consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is a multiple-choice type exam carrying 100 questions of one mark each. KARNATAKA STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (KSET) Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET), the candidate must have following eligibility criteria:
1. The candidate must have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in subjects such as Arts (including languages), Humanities (including Social Sciences), Commerce, Management, Science, Computer Science, Information Technology and Environmental Sciences.
2. The candidate must have qualified NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by UGC CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET or have cleared Ph.D degree as per requirement of UGC/CSIR/Government.
3. The candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree in the final semester/year or awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the KSET examination.
Such candidates may apply for the test provisionally and if selected, shall be allowed to appear for the test provisionally subject to their submitting the proof of having passed the Master’s degree examination at the time of interview, failing which such candidates shall not be allowed to appear for the interview.
