Jawahar Navodaya Entrance Class VI Online Exam Pattern

The Jawahar Navodaya Entrance Exam for Class VI consists of two sections:

Section A – Mental Ability Test (MAT) This section consists of a total of 80 questions, divided into four parts. The questions are of objective type and will be asked from topics such as analogy, classification, pattern perception, coding-decoding, figure matching, etc.

Section B – Language Ability Test (LAT) The LAT section consists of a total of 40 questions and will test the candidate’s knowledge of language comprehension, grammar, and Hindi or English language. The medium of instruction for this section is either Hindi or English. Total Time: 2 hours Total Questions: 120 Total Marks: 120 marks

Jawahar Navodaya Entrance Class VI Selection Process

1. The selection process of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas for students to get admission in Class VI includes an entrance exam.

2. The Entrance Exam is conducted at all the block level headquarters of each district.

3. It is usually conducted in the month of November-December every year but can be subject to change.

4. It is conducted in two phases.

5. First phase is the screening test which consists of three sections of multiple choice questions. (i.e. Arithmetic, Language, and Mental Ability).

6. After the screening phase, those who qualify are eligible to appear for the second phase, which is the interview round.

7. Lastly, the successful candidates are allotted a seat in one of the jawahar navodaya vidyalayas based on the marks secured in the entrance exam and the interview round.

Jawahar Navodaya Entrance Class VI Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible to take the Jawahar Navodaya Entrance Exam (JNVST), students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1.The candidate must have completed class V from a recognised school and must be appearing for class VI in the same school.

2.The candidate must not have taken the exam for the same session previously.

3.The candidate must belong to one of the rural areas or backward districts of the state as specified by the Government of India.

4.The candidate must have passed class V with at least 55% marks in aggregate and must possess the required proof from the concerned school.

5.The candidate must satisfy the age criteria of 9 to 13 years as on 01 May of the year of admission.

6.The candidate must submit all the required documents needed for the test. 7.The candidates must be medically fit.
