IEO Class V Online Exam Pattern

The International English Olympiad (IEO) Class V exam pattern consists of two sets of multiple-choice questions, both of which will run for thirty minutes each:

SECTION I: This section of the IEO Class V exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking.

SECTION II: This section of the IEO Class V exam consists of 15 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries two marks and there is no negative marking.

IEO Class V Selection Process

The International English Olympiad (IEO) Class V selection process in India consists of three stages:

1. Online Test: This is the initial stage of the selection process and is conducted online. The test consists of a set of multiple-choice questions, and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes. The test checks a student’s ability to comprehend and apply the English language.

2. Regional Level: Candidates who qualify the online test by scoring the minimum cut-off marks are eligible to appear for the regional-level exam. It is a written examination that tests a student’s writing and comprehension skills in English. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.

3. National Level: Candidates who qualify the regional-level exam with the minimum cut-off marks are eligible to appear for the national-level exam. It is a written examination that tests a student’s knowledge about the English language and its various applications. The duration of the exam is 240 minutes. After the successful completion of the national-level exam, the top 10 rankers will received the IEO Certificate and a Cash Prize.

IEO Class V Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 5 eligibility criteria are for students in the age group of 10-11. Candidates must have completed Class 4 in the same year or the year before to be eligible to appear for the examinations. The candidate must be currently enrolled in a ICSE recognized school in India or abroad. Candidates should have passed all the required subjects in their Class 4 examination. The student should have a minimum attendance of 75% in their Class 4 examinations.
