IBPS SO Prelims Selection Process

The selection process for the IBPS SO Prelims comprises of three stages:

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview Process. Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam is the first stage of the selection process. It is an online exam consisting of multiple choice questions.

The exam tests the aspirants on their knowledge of English Language, General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. The marks obtained in this exam are not considered in the overall selection procedure. Main Exam: The main exam is the second stage of the selection process.

It tests the aspirants on their knowledge of Banking, Computer Knowledge, Professional Knowledge, and Descriptive English. The marks obtained in this exam are considered for the final selection. Interview Process: The third and final stage of the selection process is the interview process. It is a personal interview conducted by the IBPS officials. The interview is conducted to assess the knowledge and aptitude of the aspirants. The marks obtained in the interview are also taken into consideration for the final selection.

• For Law Officer (Scale I): Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 30 Years

• For HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 30 Years

• For Marketing Officer (Scale I): Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 30 Years Educational Qualification:

• For I.T. Officer (Scale-I): Four year Engineering/ Technology Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation

• For Agriculture Field Officer (Scale I): Four year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agriculture Engineering/ Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation/ Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry

• For Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level OR Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree (graduation) level.

• For Law Officer (Scale I): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council

• For HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Two Years Full Time Post Graduate degree or Diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/HR/HRD/Social Work/Labour Law

• For Marketing Officer (Scale I): Graduate andTwo Years Full Time MMS (Marketing)/ MBA (Marketing)/ Two Years Full Time PGDBA/ PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with specialisation in Marketing.
