DELHI UNIVERSITY (DU B. ED) Selection Process

The selection process for the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) program at the University of Delhi (DU) is as follows:

1. Eligibility: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.

2. Entrance Test: All the eligible candidates must appear for the entrance test conducted by the University. The entrance test consists of two papers – General Aptitude and Teaching Aptitude.

3. Interview: Candidates who have cleared the entrance test will be called for an interview.

DELHI UNIVERSITY (DU B. ED) Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission in DU B. Ed programme are as follows:

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

• Candidates must have passed a two-year professional degree in Education (B.A. B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed, B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed, etc.) from a recognized institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

• Candidates must have qualified the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

• Candidates must have valid scores in the entrance exam conducted by the University of Delhi.

• Non-teaching staff of DU affiliated colleges and institutions are required to have 7 years of teaching experience in the relevant field.

• The age limit for admission in DU B.Ed programme is 25 years as on 1st July of the year of admission. However, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.
