CSIR NET CHEMICAL SCIENCE Selection Process


The selection process for the CSIR NET Chemical Science Exam is as follows:

Stage 1:

1. The candidate must first appear for the CSIR NET Chemical Science Exam, conducted twice a year in the months of June and December.

Stage 2:

2. The merit list is then used to select the eligible candidates for the interview round.

Stage 3:

1. The interview round is conducted by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).

2. The candidates who are selected for the interview are asked questions related to the core subject and their research interests.

3. The candidates who clear the interview round are then selected for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

4. The selected candidates are then given a placement offer in a research institute or university based on their merit.

CSIR NET CHEMICAL SCIENCE Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for CSIR NET Chemical Science are as follows:

1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.

2. The applicant must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university or institute.

3. The applicant must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
