CBSE Class X Online Exam Pattern

The CBSE Class X Online Exam Pattern for the 2021 academic year is as follows:

1. All subjects, except languages (for which boards will still conduct written exams), will be conducted online.

2. Each subject will be of 80 marks, with 20 marks for Internal Assessment (IA).

3. The online exams will be conducted over a duration of three hours.

4. There will be no provision for a re-examination.

5. The online exams will be based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

6. The multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will be based on the contents presented in the syllabus of the NCERT textbooks.

7. Negative marking of one-third mark for each incorrect answer will be applicable.

8. External examiners appointed by the CBSE Board will supervise the online exams.

9. The online exam results will be declared after the entire batch of students has completed their exams.

CBSE Class X Selection Process

The selection process for CBSE Class X is as follows:

1. Appear for the entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

2. Fill-in the application form and submit the same along with the required documents.

3.The entrance test will be for a duration of two hours and thirty minutes.

4.Based on the score obtained in the entrance test, students will be shortlisted for the selection process.

CBSE Class X Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to appear for the CBSE Class 10 exam, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Students must be enrolled in a recognized school affiliated to the CBSE board.

2. Students must have studied and passed their Classes 9 and 10th from the same school.

3. Students must have attended 75% of their Classes 9 and 10th in their respective schools.

4. Students must have been regular in their Classes 9 and 10th.

5. Students must have cleared their pre-board exams with a minimum qualifying mark of 33%.

6. Students must have been registered for the CBSE Class 10 final examination in their respective schools.
