AIIMS Online Exam Pattern

The AIIMS Online Exam Pattern comprises of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Clinical/Practical Exam. The Computer Based Test (CBT) is conducted for a duration of three hours, and consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the following sections:

• General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 30 Questions

• Chemistry – 30 Questions

• Logical Reasoning & Aptitude – 30 Questions

• General Medicine – 30 Questions

The Clinical/Practical Exam is conducted for a duration of two hours, and consists of 10 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the following sections:

• General Pathology – 5 Questions

• General Pharmacology – 5 Questions

AIIMS Selection Process

The selection process for AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) is based on the following criteria:

1. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET): Candidates must appear for and pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in order to be eligible for admission to AIIMS.

2. Counselling: Candidates who qualify in the NEET will be called for counselling at the AIIMS and will be allotted seats based on the rank obtained in the entrance examination.

3. Documents Verification: Candidates who are allotted seats in the counselling will then have to submit the required documents for verification.

4. Medical Test: The selected candidates will then have to go through a medical test to ascertain their fitness for admission.

5. Final Admission: Candidates who pass the medical test will be granted admission to AIIMS.

AIIMS Eligibility Criteria

To apply for AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), the candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria-

• The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

• The candidate must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all the subjects.

• Candidates appearing for their 12th class can also apply for AIIMS provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

• The candidate must have qualified in the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam.
