The first session is written examination, which will be held for 2 hours duration. This exam will have five papers. Each paper will have objective type questions and will carry 50 marks each.

The papers are Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, English and Maths. The second session is practical examination, which will be held for 3 hours duration. This exam will test the practical knowledge of the student in the field of commerce.

As per the Subject Syllabus, the student will have to complete all the specialized skill-related practical activities. The practical examination carries 50 marks. The total marks of the Board Examination for Class XI (Commerce) is 300 marks. The student must secure a minimum of 33% in each paper to qualify for the exam.

UP Board CLASS XI (COMMERCE) Selection Process

The selection process for admission to class 11 for the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UPSE) is as follows:

The eligibility criteria for Uttar Pradesh Board Class XI (Commerce) is as follows:

1. The student must be a native or domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

2. The student must have passed Class 10th / Xth examination from any recognized school/board.

3. He/she should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category students) in the Class Xth / 10th board examination.

4. The student should have studied Mathematics/Computer Science, English and Social Science in Class 10th / Xth examination.

5. The student should be of at least 15 years of age at the time of admission to Class 11th / XI.
