NYKS – Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Selection Process
The National Youth Corps (NYKS) selection process for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) is conducted through a written exam. The exam is conducted in two phases, i.e., Preliminary and Mains.
Preliminary Exam:
• The Preliminary Exam consists of a written test of 100 marks.
• The topics covered in the exam are: Mathematics, General English, General Knowledge, and Computer Knowledge.
• The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
• Candidates clearing the cut-off score in the Preliminary Exam are then eligible to appear for the Mains Exam.
Mains Exam:
• The Mains Exam consists of a written test of 200 marks.
• The topics covered in the exam are: Mathematics, General English, General Knowledge, Computer Knowledge, and General Intelligence.
• The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
• Candidates clearing the cut-off score in the Mains Exam are then eligible for the Skill Test and Document Verification.
Skill Test and Document Verification:
• The Skill Test is conducted to check the typing speed of the candidates.
• Candidates have to type a given passage of 250 words in 15 minutes.
• After clearing the Skill Test, the candidates are required to go through the Document Verification process.
• The Document Verification process involves a verification of all the documents submitted by the candidate.
• Candidates clearing the Document Verification process are finally selected for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC).
NYKS – Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for recruitment as Lower Division Clerk (LDC):
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on the cutoff date of the advertisement.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a 12th class pass certificate from a recognized board. Nationality: Indian.
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical standards prescribed by NYKS.
Language: Candidates must possess knowledge of English and one of the Regional Languages.
